Fr  Jonathan Morrs

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Father Jonathan Morris studied Business Administration at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. He entered the seminary at the age of 21, and later went on to complete separate degrees in Classical Humanities, Philosophy, and Theology.  In 2004, he graduated magna cum laude with a Licentiate graduate degree in Moral Theology.

Father Jonathan was ordained a Catholic priest in Rome, Italy on December 24th, 2002.

Father Jonathan’s foray into mass media was as a theological advisor on the set of the movie The Passion of the Christ.

In 2005, Father Morris contributed to CNN’s news coverage of the illness and death of Pope John Paul II, and later, the election and inauguration of Pope Benedict XVI.

Shortly after, he became a regular news analyst for the Fox News Channel.  Since then he has appeared hundreds of times on the Channel, offering news analysis from an ethical, social and faith perspective.

Father Morris is also a regular news analyst for the Fox Business Channel and a contributor to “The Wall Street Journal.”

In 2008, Father Morris published the book The Promise: God’s Purpose and Plan for When Life Hurts and in April of 2011 he released his most recent book, “God Wants You Happy: from self-help to God’s Help.  

In January 2012, Father Jonathan will begin hosting a nationally syndicated, daily radio show.

Along with his journalistic work, Father Morris is parochial vicar of the historic St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral, in the SOHO district of New York City.
